CROSS CREEK LIFE! Members of Cross Creek Plantation enjoy a full lifestyle and social schedule. The clubhouse is the heart of our neighborhood—a place to unwind or entertain while taking in sweeping golf course views. Here, members enjoy menus ranging from gourmet casual to fine dining. Both the Men’s and Ladies’ Golf Associations offer a full schedule of events. As a premier golf venue in our area, Cross Creek is the site of numerous tournaments throughout the year. Cross Creek hosts frequent events for members to mingle. A sampling includes Clemson Tiger tailgate parties, our annual Halloween party and costume contest, our Fourth of July cookout, and Chef Anna’s famous UpCountry Boil. Cross Creek is a regular stop for Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny each year. Clubs, such as Ladies’ Bridge and Bunco, meet regularly. HISTORY: Cross Creek Plantation was founded in 1989 by V. Jack Shadwick. Cross Creek’s centerpiece, our P.B. Dye designed golf course, opened to rave reviews on October 20, 1990. The name "Cross Creek" comes from the three creeks (Perkins, Reedy Fork, and Coneross) that meander through the property that was once rolling farmland. Located on the I-85 corridor between Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte, NC, Seneca is in an area known as the Mountain-Lakes Region of South Carolina. Lakes Hartwell, Jocassee, and Keowee are located here. You’ll find numerous rivers, including the Chattooga, which is federally designated as a wild and scenic river, ENDLESS WATERFALLS, the Sumter National Forest, and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. HEALTHCARE: The Oconee Medical Campus is approximately 2.5 miles from Cross Creek Plantation. Part of the PRISMA Health System, this campus consists of a large Hospital campus, which features a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services, as well as physician practices, a long-term nursing care facility, a residential hospice house, and Oconee EMS. Shopping: Seneca’s downtown features historic Ram Cat Alley, which offers an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants. We also have numerous retail chain stores and supermarkets. With Anderson, SC, Greenville, SC, and Atlanta, Ga there is an endless offer for shopping, recreation, and fine dining. A Must See!!!
